Battery: NiMh 4.8V 2700mah

Matt, i am trying to find a battery to supply 12V to mainboard, but not sure if 2700mah is power enough to drive the board, i notice that you used below battery for V4, what you are using for iC? 12V PSU with how many mAH?

Battery: NiMh 4.8V 2700mah

Thanks.

Re: Battery: NiMh 4.8V 2700mah

Hi Tony,

As iC is static, I use a 10Amp, 12V PSU, and a 12V to 5V DC-DC converter which can deliver 10Amps at 5V. Everything runs from this single supply including the ITX computer.

Matt.

Re: Battery: NiMh 4.8V 2700mah

Hi Matt, I got my ITX today, it has one motherboard with VIA C7 Processer and one power adapter (DC-DC, 12V 5A input), I am thinking if this adapter is your DC-DC convetor. I plan to buy a 12V power supply unit (it's difficult to have one with smaller size), link to DC-DC adapter, the adapter will supply power to motherboard directly, I try to link a 5V 4A cable from motherboard to servo, but don't know if it works...

The risk is: if aluminium parts didn't work, how could i spend another $400 to make it again :) hehe, I am accountant, I may be an expert on cost management, but not a good engineer.
