I had a look at the HMI high-level spec. It talks of 3 different parameters, it may be that what these parameters control are determined by thier dev kit. So it could be many things besides voltage, current and position. Just a thought. I wonder if anyone can be found and contacted that has used the servos.

Also, how much are these servos?

Well no body I have spoken to has used the extended fatures of these servos yet. I have a couple of the 5995 servos, but I am out of the country for a while and will not be able to do any tests.

The cost in the UK for the 5995TG is around �70.. I think. Which is pretty good considering the specs.! 28Kg of tourque!

I guess no need to fret over what the interface does, if you can write your own & nice to have a chain of servos hanging off I2C! Sandy
