Direct Servo Driver (DSD)

The Direct Servo Driver (DSD) is a compact unit that will drive a standard R/C type servo directly from an inexpensive resistive type potentiometer (POT) in the range of 1k to 10k ohm. The DSD is programmable, so you can define the useable range of the control POT and servo limits. This means that the POT can be scaled to the required movement of the servo. Once the device has been programmed, these parameters are stored on-board and are retained after power is removed. Programming is simple; just one button connected to a servo type lead is all that is needed (Not Supplied). The DSD also incorporates a servo reverser, so you can use the normal, reversed or both outputs of the device.

The DSD is ideal for suit performers with animatronic heads or hand puppets that require R/C servos but not the usual R/C type transmitter and interface.
